House Concerts have become enormously popular over the last decade. For the artist, its a way to more closely engage with the audience/guests. For the audience its a great way to see and experience live music up close and personal in a very informal environent. I have had the great privilege of performing literally hundreds of house concerts across Canada, from Victoria to Halifax and I have to say that there are very few bad experiences I can think of.... okay there was that one in Williams Lake :).  However almost every other night was great! Indeed, even more widely known artists are starting to do concerts simply because of the back to basics approach the house concerts offer.
